冠詞

一概說

冠詞是虛詞，放在名詞之前，用來說明名詞所指的人或事物，一般沒有句子重音。

冠詞分為不定冠詞和定冠詞兩種。

1． 不定冠詞 a ， an

a） a和an均用在單數名詞之前，表示一類人或物事中的“一個” ，但不強調數目觀念。

b） a 用在子音之前，an 用在母音之前。如：a book 一本書，an old picture 一張舊照片。

2。定冠詞the

a） 表示某一類人或事物中的“某一個” ，相當於漢字的“這”或“那”。

b） 不論單數名詞或複數名詞，也不論可數名詞或不可數名詞，前面都可以用the 。

二用法

不定冠詞的用法

1。 指人或事物的某一種類。

2。 指某一類人或事物中的任何一個。

3。 指某人或某物，但不具體說明何人或何物。

4。 不定冠詞還可指“事物的單位” ，如“每日” 、“每斤”等。

定冠詞的用法

1。 特指某（些）人或某（些）事物。

2。 說話人與聽話人都知道的人或事物。

3。 重複上文提到的人或事物。

4。 表示在世界上獨一無二的事物。

5。 形容詞最高階和序數詞前和表示方位的名詞前。

6。 樂器的名稱前常用定冠詞 the 。

7。 冠詞還可與某些形容詞連用，使形容詞名詞化，代表某一類人。如：the poor窮人，the rich 富人，the sick 病號

8。 放在某些專有名詞前。

9。 放在姓氏的複數形式前，表示全家人或夫婦兩人。

10。 固定片語中。

In the morning 在上午 in the evening能夠在晚上 in the afternoon 在下午不用冠詞的場合

1。 專有名詞、抽象名詞和物質名詞前一般不用冠詞。

2。 名詞前

以有

作定語用的this， that ，my， your。 whose， some， any， no， each， every 等代詞時不用冠詞。

3。 節假日、季節、月份、星期等名稱，一般不用冠詞。

4。 複數名詞表示某一類人或事物時，不用冠詞。

5。 稱呼前不用冠詞，表示頭銜和植物（如果這種職務只有一人擔任）的名詞前也不用冠詞。

6。 在某些固定詞組裡，名詞前也常不用冠詞。

7。 三餐、球類、棋類前不用冠詞。

8。 學科、報紙和文章的標題常省去。
