1。 You began flying when you were eight years old， right？

Q：你從八歲就開始了飛行對嗎？

Yes！ I was lucky that my parents owned one of the UK’s largest paragliding schools at the time。

A：對！我很幸運，我的父母擁有當時英國最大的滑翔傘學校之一。

2。 At that time，you flew paragliding not paramotor， right？

Q：那時，你飛的是滑翔傘而不是動力傘對嗎？

Yes I began paragliding first。 Actually at that time it was more like gliding down a hill on a parachute。 I‘m not even sure paramotoring existed yet…

A：是的，我是先飛滑翔傘，事實上那個時候更像是用降落傘從小山上滑下來。我甚至不確定動力傘已經存在……

3。 When did you start flying paramotor？

Q：你什麼時候開始飛動力傘？

I began flying paramotors when I was sixteen years old。

A：我十六歲的時候開始飛動力傘。

4。 Do you like paragliding？

Q：你喜歡滑翔傘嗎？

Yes I love paragliding also。 I live just a few hours north of the Dune de Pyla and often go there to soaring。

A：是的，我也喜歡滑翔傘，我住在Pyla沙丘北面幾小時路程的地方，經常去那裡飛行。

5。 Why do you like paramotor？

Q：你為什麼喜歡滑翔傘？

For me paramotoring is the ultimate freedom。 It’s the lightest form of powered aviation with the ability to pack down small enough to go in your car or even a plane。

A：對我而言，動力傘是最終極的自由，他是最輕的動力飛行器，打包之後可以裝進車裡甚至飛機上。

When I first discovered paramotoring I realised I was free from gravity once and for all， I could control my altitude and I no longer had to come down。 I could go and discover new places where I could not go by paraglider。

A：當我第一次接觸到動力傘飛行時，我意識到我完全擺脫了重力的束縛，我可以控制我自己的高度，而無需被迫下落。我可以去探索新的地方，這是滑翔傘不能帶給我的。

And now with the more recent equipment you can do so many things。

I still love paragliding for its simplicity and use of the elements。 Even though both disciplines are quite similar the way of flying and overall experience is very different！

6。 Why & When did you create the Parabatix Team？

Q：你是什麼時候建立Parabatix團隊的？為什麼有這樣的想法？

We created the Parabatix Sky Racers in 2010。 Our aim was to mix competition with show flying。We really wanted to bring ‘flying’ and aviation to the public。 So we went about creating a team made up of the best race directors and organisers， hand-picking the world top competition and display pilots， training together and testing new race courses that are fun and skilful for the pilots and spectacular to watch for the public。

A：我們在2010年建立了Parabatix空中賽手團隊。我們的目標是將競賽與飛行表演結合起來，把飛行與航空真正的帶到公眾面前。因此我們開始建立一支由最好的賽事總監和組織者組成的團隊，集合世界頂級賽事與表演的飛行員，一起訓練並測試新的競賽科目，透過有趣及展示高超技藝的飛行向公眾展示令人驚歎的表演。

7。 How many members in your team， are they all pilots？ Such as DJ /cameraman and other roles ， could they fly？

Q：Parabatix的團隊一共有多少成員？他們都是飛行員嗎？比如DJ、攝影師以及其他的一些角色，他們都會飛行嗎？

Depending on the size， budget and host needs of each event our team can vary from 15 to 30 people！ （more or less pilots， race organisers， show pilots， special effects and media team）。 Not everyone gets to fly。。。 however everyone is very passionate about Parabatix！

A：根據活動的規模、預算以及主辦方的需求，團隊從15到30人不等（基本上包括飛行員，賽事組織者，飛行表演者、特效及媒體組）。不是每個人都會飛……但是每個人都對團隊充滿熱情！

8。 You are not only a pilot or a CEO， how many roles do you play？ And others， how many roles in this team？ Who is the best important except you。

Q：在團隊中，你除了是飛行員與CEO，同時還擔任什麼角色？其他人呢？除你之外哪個位置是最重要的？

Hahahah So many roles from event director， Commentator， R&D and team manager。 Even though I have an eye on each role in the team I try to let everyone be the best at what they do and respect their talents and responsibilities by not interfering too much。

A：同時我還是活動總監、賽事解說、研發及團隊經理。我要關注團隊中的每一個角色，儘量讓他們每個人都做到最好，同時尊重他們的才能與職責，不做過多幹預。

As for the ‘Next most important member after me’ I would say it is the race director who creates the courses rules along with the pilots。 Without that we don‘’t have a race 。

A：至於除我之外最重要的成員，我認為是賽事總監，如果沒有他與飛行員們一起設定科目規則，也就沒有了我們的賽事。

9。 What are the requirements of sky racers？ Are there Asian pilots in Parabatix？ A Chinese pilot asked me to express his hope： one day， we can watch Chinese pilots fly in these international team。

Q：成為天空賽手的要求是什麼？Parabatix中有亞洲飛行員嗎？一位中國飛行員希望我替他轉達，他希望有一天可以看到這支國際的團隊中有中國飛行員的身影。

The sky racers are made up of some of the best pilots in the world。 Required to be an excellent competition and display pilot， have good interpersonal and team skills。

A：天空賽手是由全世界最好的飛行員組成。要求他們是最優秀的競賽與表演飛行員，具有良好的人際關係以及團隊協作能力。

We would love to have a Chinese pilot in the race team one day。 In fact we are currently planning a Parabatix Sky Racers ‘boot camp’ to offer an opportunity for existing pilots to come and train with our team and improve their skills。 Who knows， we may find a pilot able to join us in future events in China and perhaps around the world too！

A：我們很願意在某一天能有中國的飛行員在我們的團隊中。事實上我們正在計劃一個“新手訓練營”，給飛行員們提供一個機會與我們的團隊一起訓練並提高技能。誰知道呢，也許我們會找到一名中國的飛行員加入我們將來在中國的活動，或者也許是全世界！

10。 I was impressed by the amazing air shows from Parabatix in Qilian， and then I was impressed again， by the great expeditions from yours。 How many countries have you flown？And how many countries has Parabatix flown？

Q：Parabatx在祁連的精彩表演給我留下了深刻的印象，接著我又再次被你們偉大的遠征而打動。你飛過多少個國家？Parabatix團隊飛過多少國家？

I‘m really happy you enjoyed the race and air displays in Qilian our team were really excited to show you guys what we do！As you can tell my own adventures and expeditions are very important to me also。 I love discovering more of our extraordinary planet and places to fly seeing the world from new and different perspectives and what better way than to share the passion of flight with people along the way。

A：我很高興你喜歡祁連的空中競賽與表演，能夠向大家展示我們所做的一切，我們非常興奮！正如你所說，個人的冒險與遠征對我也很重要。我喜歡去探索發現我們非凡的星球，去不同的地方飛行，從全新的視角看這個世界，還有比沿途與大家分享飛行的激情更好的方式嗎？

I feel like there are no borders with the flying community， its a great feeling knowing that we are all one kind enjoying this incredible way of being and flying passion。

A：我覺得飛行的群體之間沒有界限，這是一種美妙的感覺，知道我們彼此都是一類人，用這樣不可思議的方式享受飛行。

I have personally travelled to and flown in over 32 different countries so far。

A：目前為止，我去過32個不同國家旅行及飛行。

The Parabatix SkyRacers has performed in three different continents including Europe， United States and Asia！

A：Parabatix去過三大洲表演，包括歐洲、亞洲，還有美國。

11。 Is this your first time to China？ What do you think of China？

Q：這是你第一次來中國嗎？你覺得中國怎樣？

I have been to China before but this is the first time Parabatix Sky Racers has come！ We really enjoyed ourselves and the beautiful location and meeting so many nice and genuine people has been an absolute pleasure！

A：我以前來過，但這是Parabatix天空賽手第一次來到中國。我們都很開心，這麼美麗的地方，遇見這麼多真誠善良的人，真的很高興！

12。 How many times did you/ Parabatix participate Coupe Icare？ What do you think of it？

Q：你們參加過幾次伊卡洛斯飛行節？你們覺得這個飛行節怎樣？

Parabatix has performed at the Coupe Icare in France since 2011 every year。 And we love it！

A：Parabatix從2011年開始，每年都會在法國的伊卡洛斯飛行節上表演，我們都熱愛這個節日！

13。 I know from the website your father is a designer， I searched his name， Mike Campbell-Jones， the original designer and pioneer， the father of Reflex wing technology， right？

Q：我從你們的網站得知你的父親是一位設計師，我搜索了他的名字Mike Campbell-Jones，原創設計開發者，Reflex傘翼技術之父，對嗎？

Yes that’s right，he really revolutionised paramotoring with his Reflex wings， allowing pilot to fly further and safer。 Now everyone is using his reflex profiles in their designs！ But he keep the best ideas for his own designs 。

A：是的，他用他的Reflex傘翼革新了動力傘飛行，飛行員可以飛得更遠更安全。現在大家設計中都使用他的Reflex翼型！但是他為自己的設計保留了最好的想法。

14。 And your younger brother or older brother is in this team ， right？ His name is Remi？

Q：你的兄弟也在Parabatix團隊嗎？他是叫Remi嗎？

Yes my younger brother Remi is also part of the team。 He is also the pioneer behind the recent Printed Wings。 He and my father researched and developed a way to print on the technical paragliding fabrics。 This allows for extended durability and less colour cut panels （as now you can print whatever you want） and simpler and more durable construction and manufacturing。

A：是的，我的弟弟Rimi也是團隊一員。同時他還是最近的傘翼印刷的開發者。他與我的父親一起研發了一種在傘布上印刷的工藝。因而可以減少顏色鑲嵌的裁剪（因為現在你可以印刷任何你想要的圖案）擴充套件了耐用性，製造更簡單，結構更耐用。

15。 Any words do you want to say to Chinese pilots or those people who thirst for flying？

Q：你有沒有什麼話想對中國飛行員或是那些渴望飛行的人說呢？

I guess just stay humble， keep learning safely step by step， and enjoy the flying passion for as long as possible！

A：我想只要保持謙虛，一步一步的安全學習，就能盡情享受飛行的激情！
