1. enamored & infatuated: 本組詞都指“愛情上迷戀的”

enamored /ɪˈnæmərd/ ：系使傾心的，迷戀的。指在愛情上全身心的投人。表示對某事非常喜歡、熱衷或陶醉。常與of、with連用。

e。g。to be much enamored of a girl

十分傾心於一個姑娘

The prince was enamored of the girl。

王子迷戀那個少女。

infatuated /ɪnˈfætʃueɪtɪd/ ：使迷戀。一般與with連用，只限於表示人。除有了enamored的意義外， 還有盲目和無理智的熱情之意。

e。g。 to be infatuated with such a dancing and thoughtless thing as her

迷戀於她這個毫無頭腦的舞女

He is infatuated with pride。

他被傲氣衝昏了頭。

2. radiate & emit ：本組詞都有“散發”的意思。

radiate /ˈreɪdieɪt/ ：指向四周發光，發熱，輻射。強調光的發散。暗示一種輻射效能。

e。g。 Stoves are meant to radiate heat。

爐子是要發熱的。

emit /iˈmɪt/ ：為正式用詞。系放射。指發出，排放，散發。適用範圍較廣泛。

e。g。 the amount of carbon dioxide emitted

二氧化碳排放量

The new device emits a powerful circular column of light。

新裝置發出明亮的圓形光柱。

3. scar & bruise ：本組詞都有“傷痕”的意思。

scar /skɑːr/：指外傷癒合後在面板上留下的疤痕。

e。g。Will the cut leave a scar？

這個傷口會留下傷痕嗎？

bruise /bruːz/：挫傷。指由於擊打、磕碰對皮肉所造成的挫傷，即面板紅腫，或青一塊、紫一塊。

e。g。 How did you get that bruise on your cheek？

你臉頰上怎麼有一塊瘀傷？

4. promising & encouraging & heartening & rosy ：本組詞都指有可能成功的，也可指有可能帶來好結果的。

promising/ˈprɑːmɪsɪŋ/：繫有希望的，有前途的，大有可為的。指展現出了好的或者成功的跡象。在講述人的職業前景時，只能使用本詞。

e。g。 At that time， I had a promising career in TV。

那時我在電視臺的工作前程似錦。

The weather doesn‘t look very promising。

天氣看上去不是很妙。

encouraging/ɪnˈkɜːrɪdʒɪŋ/：指給你一個使某人或某事將會變好或獲得成功的希望。表示令人鼓舞、振奮人心或給人希望。

e。g。 There are encouraging signs of an artistic revival。

出現了鼓舞人心的藝術復興的跡象。

The results have been encouraging。

結果令人振奮

heartening/ˈhɑːrtnɪŋ/：指鼓舞人心的，令人振奮的。表示給人以鼓舞和更多的希望。

e。g。 It is heartening to see the determination of your people。

看到你的人民的堅定決心，真是令人鼓舞。

rosy/ˈroʊzi/：美好的。多用於報刊新聞或生意場上。指有可能成功或者是好的。也指使得事情看上去很美好、很成功，可事實並非如此。

e。g。 rosy prospects美好的前景

The future is looking rosy for our company。

我們公司看上去前景美好。
