碰撞英語怎麼說

在2020年5月27號的文章中分享了一些關於

pull的短語

，pull in， pull off， pull into， pull up， pull over。。。。。都是與車相關的，反響還不錯，所以今天繼續分享些與車相關的詞語表達。比如，剮蹭、追尾這些生活中可能會遇到的事。

首先不管是正面、側面、追尾，這些碰撞都叫collision或者crash， 一種一種的介紹啊：

Head-on collision or frontal crash 迎面相撞，俗稱頂牛兒

A head-on collision （also called a “frontal” crash） is when cars driving in opposite directions crash front to front。

下圖是一起正面撞車事故的新聞截圖：

車輛正面相撞致人死亡

這起事故里面其中一輛是passenger car （小轎車），另一輛是pick-up（皮卡）。

Pick-up的狀態是overturned and settled on its roof 大頭朝下翻車了。

兩輛車同樣嚴重受損：both of the vehicles sustained serious/heavy damage。

sustain在這裡=suffer

引起迎面相撞事故一般有哪些情況呢？

Distracted driving 行車注意力不集中

Impaired driving 非清醒狀態駕駛

Speeding 超速

Driving the wrong way down a one-way road 錯誤駛入單行線

Not obeying traffic signs 不遵守交通指示訊號

Side-impact collision 側面相撞

側面相撞又分兩種，

一種叫：

side-swipe

， 即剮蹭 另一種叫：

T-bone collision

側面撞擊事故

When one car hits another car sideways， it is called a side-swipe accident。

如下圖，

Sideswipe經常發生在when a car drifts into another lane/makes a lane change and does not look first before merging over。也就是併線前不提前觀察後側方車輛。

occurs where the front of one car crashes into the side of another vehicle。

T-bone collision

T-bone collision經常出現在when a car runs a red light，即闖紅或 turns without yielding to oncoming traffic即轉變時對直行車輛沒讓行。

Rear-end collision 追尾

Rear-end collision

results when one car collides into the back of the car in front of it 當後車碰撞前車尾部的時候就造成了追尾。

造個句子：

My new car was rear-ended while I was waiting for the traffic light to change。 在我正等著變燈的時候，我的新車被追尾了。

怎麼避免be rear-ended呢， 你可以說：

maintain a safe following distance。

leave plenty of space between your vehicle and those in front and behind yours。

Don‘t follow too closely the car in front yours！

Hit and run 逃逸

A hit and run accident is any accident in which a driver intentionally leaves the scene without providing contact information。 發生交通事故後沒有留下聯絡資訊故意離開現場。

擷取一段新聞：

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES （CBSLA） – A driver has been arrested in a deadly hit-and-run that happened earlier this month near downtown Los Angeles。

59-year-old Maria Perez of Bell Gardens is accused of hitting and killing 51-year-old Byern Smith around 2 a。m。 on May 7 as he was walking in the 1600 block of East Seventh Street， police said。

因為有致命的撞人逃逸，所以這裡說的是deadly hit-and-run。

這起事故發生在洛杉磯城區附近，肇事者是一名59歲名叫Maria Perez的人，受害者今年51歲名叫Byern Smith， 事發時間大5月7號凌晨2點，受害人當時步行於東7街的1600區。目前肇事者已被警方拘捕。
