（一 ）反身代詞的構成

反身代詞的基本含義是：透過反身代詞指代主語，使施動者把動作形式上反射到施動者自己。因此，反身代詞與它所指代的名詞或代詞形成互指關係，在人稱和數上應保持一致。

反身代詞是一種表示反 射或強調的代詞。它由第一人稱 第二人稱形容詞性物主代詞和第三人稱代詞賓格加詞尾self或selves構成。如下：

人稱→第一人稱→第二人稱→第三人稱

①單數：

myself/yourself/herself/itself/himself

我自己/你自己/她自己/它自己

②複數：ourselves/yourselves/themselves

我們自己/你們自己/（他/她/它們自己）

典例解析：

Boys， don‘t lose（）in playing Angry Birds。 It is bad for your eyes to play computer games for a long time。

點撥D考查反身代詞的用法。lose oneself in doing sth意為“沉迷於做某事”。本題的第一句是一個祈使句，省略了主語you，根據句中“Boys”可知，此處應用複數，故選D。

（二）反身代詞的用法

1。有少數動詞必須與反身代詞連用。

Why were you absent yourself from school yesterday？你昨天為什麼沒有上學？

2。有些動詞可以與反身代詞連用，也可以不與反身代詞連用，其意義不變，它們可稱為半反身動詞。

He has to shave（himself）twice a day。

他必須一天修 刮兩次鬍子。

3。許多普通動詞都可以與反身代詞連用，以表示動作的反射。

I support myself。我自己養活自己。

4。反身代詞還可以用於名詞或代詞之後或句末，表示強調。

I myself saw it。

=I saw it myself。那是我親眼看見的。

（三）反身代詞的作用

1。作賓語（作動詞或介詞的賓語）。

He teaches himself drawing after school。

放學後他自學繪畫。

We must look after ourselves very well。

我們必須好好照顧自己。

2。作名詞或代詞的同位語，起加強語氣的作用，表示“親自；本人”之意。

①I myself can do it。我自己能做它。

②She herself will fly to Beijing tomorrow。

明天她自己將要坐飛機去北京。

③I met the singer himself last week。

我上週見到了那位歌手本人。

3。與介詞by組成介詞短語，表示“獨自”之意。

We can learn English by ourselves。

我們能自學英語。

4。作表語。

I’m not quite myself these days。

我這些天身體感到不太舒服。

5。 用在某些固定短語當中。

①look after oneself

=take care of oneself 照顧自己

②teach oneself sth。

=learn sth。 by oneself 自學

③enjoy oneself玩得高興，過得愉快

④help oneself to sth

⑤hurt oneself摔傷自己

⑥say to oneself自言自語

⑦lose oneself in 沉浸於，陶醉於……之中

⑧leave sb。 by oneself把某人單獨留下

】

1。 反身代詞不能單獨做主語，但可以做主語的同位語，起強調作用。

如：我自己能完成作業。

（誤）Myself can finish my homework。。

（正） I myself can finish my homework。

= I can finish my homework myself。

2。 反身代詞表示“某人自己”，不能表示“某人的東西”，因為它沒有所有格的形式。表達“某人自己的（東西）”時，須要用one’s own。如：

我用我自己的蠟筆畫畫。

（誤）I’m drawing with myself crayons。

（正） I’m drawing with my own crayons。
