1. open

open的原意是把封起來的或合起來的東西開啟或揭開，強調從緊閉的狀態向開放狀態的移動。反義詞為

close

，意為“關閉，合上”。

(1). 開啟門窗/ 容器、書等 —— open the door / window/ box/ book

Open the window and let the fresh air in。 開啟窗戶，讓新鮮空氣進來。

Open your book and turn to page six。 開啟書翻到第六頁。

(2). 睜開眼睛，張開嘴巴—— open the eyes / open the mouth

You are running a fever。 Please open your mouth and I‘ll check it。

你在發燒。請張開嘴讓我檢查一下。

Close your eyes lightly and take a deep breath。

輕輕地閉上眼睛，深呼吸。

2. turn on

我們知道turn有“轉動，旋轉”的意思，所以turn on 也可以理解為擰開。通常用於某種裝置或者電器類。比如：電視，燈，收音機之類。其反義短語是：

turn off

，意為“關掉”。

看例句：

（1）。 Remember to turn off the lights before you leave。 在你離開之前記得關燈。

（2）。 It’s news time。 Turn on the radio。 新聞時間到了，開啟收音機。

3. switch on

switch on

有“接通，開啟，合閘”的意思，用於“開啟”一些電器裝置，使其開始工作。比如：電腦，機器等。其反義短語為

switch off

，意為：“關掉，切斷”。

（1）。 He switched on the computer and began to work。 他開啟電腦開始工作。

（2）。 Jack switched off the coffee-machine。 傑克關掉了咖啡機。

Tip： turn on/ off 和switch on/ off 在表示“用開關開啟或者關掉，接通或者切斷電源”的意思時，用法是一樣的，可以相互轉換。

記住：以後千萬不能再說 open or close the light啦！
