在我們生活中，我們用到開和關的次數簡直是太多了。比如：開手機、開門、關上書、關電視等等。

在中文裡面，不論我們開關什麼，就是隻有“開”和“關”這一組詞。但是，在英語裡，至少有兩組開關，它們就是：open/close 和 turn on/turn off。

那麼它們究竟有什麼區別呢？

open 開；開啟；開啟 將原來合上的東西開啟，比如：

Mr Chen opened the car door for his wife。

陳先生為妻子開啟車門。

open the window/door/book

開啟窗戶/門/書

open your eyes/heart/arms

張開你的雙眼/心扉/雙臂

close和open對應 turn on開啟（水、電視、收音機、燈、煤氣等）; （使）感興趣; （使）興奮; 發動。指轉動或推上開關等開啟，比如：

She asked them why they hadn‘t turned the lights on。

她問他們為什麼不開燈。
