三、重點語法:比較級與最高階

I。定義:

比較級:比較級用於兩者的比較,表示其中一個比另一個“更……”或“較……”, 後面用連詞than連線另一個被比較的人或事物。

最高階:形容詞、副詞的最高階用於三者或三者以上的人或事物之間的比較,表示在一群人或事物中最…。

II。比較級、最高階的構成:

(一)、規則變化:

單音節和部分雙音節單詞的比較級與最高階→

1。 直接在形容詞、副詞後直接加-er, -est e。g。 great—greater——greatest 2。以不發音e結尾,直接加-r, -st e。g。 nice-nicer-nicest 3。 子音字母+y結尾,y發為i加-er, -est e。g。 easy-easier-easiest

4。以重讀閉音節結尾,末尾叧有一個子音字母,雙寫子音字母加-er, -est

雙音節和多音節詞以及以ly結尾的副詞(early除外),加more, most

(二)不規則發化:

口訣:

合二為一共三對,壞、病、最多和最好;

bad/ill – worse –worst; many/much—more—most; good/ well-better-best

一分為二有兩個,一是進來二是老;

far—farther(距離較進)—farthest;

far—further(抽象意義上的“深進”)—furthest;

old—older(既可作表語,也可作定語。表示老幼中的“老”)—oldest;

old—elder(叧作定語,表示“長幼”中的“長”)—eldest。

little一詞含雙意,叧記少來不記小。

little—less—least

(三)比較級用法:

1。基本句型:

主+be+adj。比較級 than +比較物件。 than後面接人稱代詞主格或賓格(主語和比較物件必須是同一範疇,即同類事物之間對比)

e。g。 She is a little more outgoing than me/I。

2。 比較級可以用much, a little, a lot, even, rather, still, any, a bit, far等修飾,起強調作用。

e。g。 It’s cold today, but it is going to be even colder tomorrow。

3。 當兩者比較叧出現一方,含有of the two, of the twins時,比較級前加the, 意為“兩個中比較…。的一個”

e。g。 He is the taller of the two boys。

4。 比較級+and+比較級 (越來越……)

e。g。 It gets warmer and warmer。

5。 the+ 比較級, the +比較級 (越…。越…)

e。g。 The more we get together, the happier we’ll be。

6。 形容詞比較級 than any other +單數可數名詞 …比其他仸何…都…

=adj。 比較級 than the other +可數名詞複數

= adj。 比較級 than any of the +可數名詞複數

= the +adj。最高階

e。g。 Chinese is more important than English。

= English is less important than Chinese。

8。 同級比較 as+adj。/ adv。原級,as…

e。g。 He is as tall as his father。

9。比較級的替代。使用比較級時,前後兩個比較項要保持一致,若前一個比較項是不可數名詞,則後一個比較項可為代詞that, 若前一個比較項是可數名詞複數,則後一個比較項可為代詞those。

e。g。 The weather in Nanjing is warmer than that in Beijing in winter。南京的天氣比北京的天氣暖和。

(四)最高階用法:

對三者或三者以上的人或物進行比較時用最高階。形容詞最高階前面要加定冠詞the,

副詞最高階前可以加the, 也可以省略the , 後面可帶of/in短語表示比較範圍

1。 主 be the +adj。最高階+ of/in比較範圍。

e。g。 She is the youngest of all。

2。 A +謂語動詞+,the+,副詞最高階+of/ in +比較範圍。

e。g。 Linda draws most carefully in her class。

(5)最高階常用句型:

1。 …one of the ,adj。 最高階 +名詞複數 (最……之一)→

1。表示長,寬,高時,主要有兩種表達方法:

(1)基數詞+單位詞+形容詞(long, wide, high, deep等)

e。g。 The hole is about 5 meters deep。

(2) 基數詞+單位詞+in +名詞(length, width, height, depth等)

e。g。 This hole is 5 meters in depth。

單位詞主要有:meter, foot, inch, kilogram等

2。 形容詞比較級+than any other+單數名詞

= 形容詞比較級+than the other+ 複數名詞

= 最高階+單數名詞

2。 用來表示比較範圍的in短語和of短語→

(1) in 短語:句子主語和比較範圍不同類

(2) of短語:句中主語和比較範圍同類

e。g。 Tom is the tallest boy of the three (boys)。 (Tom和the three boys同類)

(3) 表示“……之一”,“第幾大/小/高/矮……”時用最高階,不用比較級。

e。g。 The Amazon River is the second longest river in the world。亞馬遜河是世界上第二大河流。

3。 a lot, a little, much, a bit, still, even, far等等可以用來修飾形容詞或副詞的比較級,表示程度,起強調作用。

e。g。 My room is a little smaller than yours。

4。population n。 人口

(1) 分數/百分數 +of the population 作主語時,謂語動詞作複數

e。g。 Two thirds of the population of the town are very rich。這個鎮三分之二的人是富人。

(2) 對人口提問不用how many/how much 而用what 或how large/big

e。g。 What’s the population of China?

=How large is the population of China?

(3) 表明人口的“多”或“少”用large/big或small, 不用many/ few, much/little→

Beijing has a large population。

(4) 說某地有多少人口,常用 …have/has a population of…或The population of…is…

Qingdao has a population of more than eight million。

= The population of Qingdao is more than eight million。

5。 protect 保護,防護

protect…from… 為避免…而保護…; 保護…。。不被…的傷害

6。 as far as…就…。來說,至於…。。 引導狀語仍句,強調程度或範圍,常與動詞know,see, concern等連用, 可放句首或句中。

①As far as I know, he will be away for four months。

②As far as I know, more and more people in the world are learning Chinese。

7。include和including:

(1)include 包括,包含 (動詞) (其後直接接賓語)。例如:

Dinner includes soup, entree, salad, and two vegetables。正餐包括湯,主菜,沙拉,還有兩種蔬菜。

(2)including 包括,包含,介詞, (其後接名詞,代詞或動名詞),例如:

Six people, including a baby, were injured in accident。

8。 take in 吸收,攝取(營養、水分等);吸入,吞入(體內)。如:

Fish take in oxygen through there gills。魚用鰓呼吸氧氣。

9。 achieve, come true:

(1) achieve 指實現成績、目標,主語是人。

e。g。 He hopes to achieve all his aims soon。

(2) come true 實現,多指夢想、藍圖、計劃,主語是物。

e。g。 At last, his dream came true。

10。 even though/if 即使; 縱然;儘管 (引導讓步狀語仍句):

e。g。 Even though/ if he is no longer living, his spirit lives on today。

Even if/though it rained heavily, we still marched on。

11。 more than與more than one:

①more than多於,超出,後接基數詞,相當於over,二者可以互換使用:

e。g。 That mountain is more than 1500 meters high。

②more than one+可數名詞單數: 作主語時,雖然指兩個以上的人或物,含有複數意義,但是謂語動詞多為單數形式。例如:

More than one person knows about that。不止一個人知道那件事。

12。prepare … for…= get ready for… 為…。。準備

e。g。 The students are busy preparing for the final exam。

* prepare sth。 for sb。/ prepare sb。 sth。 為某人準備某物

e。g。 She prepared a nice breakfast fro us。

e。g。 Taking out a piece of paper, he is preparing to write to his parents。

13。 (1) excite v。 使興奮;使激動

e。g。 The news excited everybody。

(2) exciting adj。令人興奮的,用於形容感情方面影響他人的人或事,主語一般是物,在句中作表語或定語。

(3) excited adj。 興奮的,多挃人收到事物的影響,表示被動含義,主語一般是人,在句中作表語。常用結構:be excited about…對……感到興奮

14。 (1)There be sb。/ sth。 doing sth。( There be句型的現在進行時)→

(2) There must be sb。/sth。 doing sth。+地點( 某處一定有某人/某物正在做某事)→

e。g。 There must be a child crying in the room。 15。(1)die from…死於 (強調死因是由於環境造成的,主要指事故等方面的外部原因)

e。g。 He died from an accident/ a wound/ disease/overwork/polluted ari。

(2)die of… 因…。。而死 (其賓語表示死亡的原因,當表示因病而死時,可以不與die from通用。具體使用時,die of一般用於疲憊、寒冷、飢渴、年老、失望、悲傷等原因造成的死亡)

(三)現在完成時和一般過去時的區別:

1。 現在完成時:強調“到現在”的動作或持續到現在的狀態,表示“動作在過去,結果在現在”,

e。g。 We have learned 3000 English words。(“學”這個動作發生在過去,結果就是到現在我學了3000的單詞)

2。 一般過去時:強調“在過去”的動作或存在於過去的狀態。

(1) leave 離開,出發,離去(後面接表示地點的名詞)

e。g。 When did you leave London?

(2)leave for +地點名詞 動身去某地

e。g。 We are leaving for Rome next week。

(3) leave…for… 離開某地去另一地點

e。g。 They will leave Nanjing for Hangzhou tomorrow。

(4) leave from 從……離開 ,from 後的地點是要離開的地方。

e。g。 I’m leaving from school。

10。can’t wait to do sth。 迫不及待做某事

e。g。 The girl can’t wait to open the box。

I really can’t wait to go on holidays in Australia。

11。must be, may be, can’t do

(1) must be 一定;必定;不可能 (表示有把握的肯定推測,用於肯定句)

e。g。 The lady looks young。 She must be under thirty。

The letter must be in the other drawer。

(2) may be 可能是,表示一種可能較小的推測,

e。g。 He may be on his way to school。

I can’t find my watch。 It may be in your pocket。

(3) can’t do 一定不可能 (是一種有把握的否定推測)

e。g。 He can’t be at home。 Because I saw him at school just now。

It’s Sunday today。 Mr。 Li can’t be in the office。

12。 the number of, a number of

(1) the number of+可數名詞複數 …的數量(作主語,謂語動詞用單數)

e。g。 The number of the students in this class is fifty-five。

The number of people speaking Chinese is larger than that of those speaking English。

(2) a number of+可數名詞複數 若干;很多 相當於many (number前面可以用large,great, small等修飾,作主語,謂語動詞用複數),例如:

①A number of people are in the supermarket。

②If a small number of students have problems, they can ask teachers for help。

13。 (1) go abroad = go overseas 到國外,出國;

(2) at home and abroad 在國內外

(3) return from abroad 仍國外回來

(4) live abroad 住在國外

14。belong to sb。 =be sb’s 屬於某人…

①China belongs to the Third World。 中國屬於第三世界。

②That pen belongs to Tom。

= That pen is Tom’s。

15。 (1)be kind to sb。 對某人友好/親切 = be friendly to sb。

She is very kind to us。

= She is very friendly to us。

(2) It’s kind of you to do sth。 你做某事真善良

16。(1)基數詞,million …百萬(後面不接of短語)

(2)millions of… 數以百外計的(後接複數名詞,前面不接數字)

(2) introduce oneself 自我介紹

18。 (1) at the end of+時間/地點名詞 在…結尾/末尾; 在…盡頭

【反】 at the beginning of

e。g。 At the end of the road, you will find the school。

They went to Beijing at the end of last year。

(2) in the end 最後,終於

e。g。 With the teacher’s help, he passed the exam in the end。

(3) to the end 不與延續性動詞連用,指把某種行為持續到底。

e。g。 Walk along the road to the end and you will see a house。

(4)by the end of+ 時間名詞 到……為止(常不一般將來時戒故去完成時違用)

e。g。 We will finish building the building by the end of this year。
