在英語學習中，詞彙量的大小是衡量英語水平的重要標誌。通常詞彙量越大，運用英語的能力就越強，反之亦然。許多英語偏弱的學生將詞彙的學習與記憶比作“攔路虎”，以至談虎色變，毫無信心。因此，有意識地學習詞彙策略將可以幫助學生更科學，高效，簡單地積累大量詞彙，從而達到事半功倍的效果。本詞彙積累策略系列，將會從近義詞（synonyms），反義詞（antonyms），字首（prefixes），字尾（suffixes），同音異義詞（homophones）等角度來探討詞彙的學習和積累。本系列，適合小學中高年級及初中學生學習。

Collocations（片語搭配）：

在英語中，有一些單詞可以組成固定搭配。比如“function”這個單詞，作為動詞可以單獨使用。不過在很多句子中，它也可以和介詞“as” 搭配使用。 逐步積累和熟悉這些常見固定搭配的用法可以幫助英語學習者們更好地使用和回憶我們學過的詞彙。

下面我們首先來看看固定搭配的一些基本方式：

Verb+ Preposition (動詞+介詞） 一些動詞可以和介片語成固定搭配。 比如：

My big dictionary also

functions as

a doorstop。 我的大字典也同樣可以當作門擋來用。

regarded

Adjective + Noun (介詞 + 名詞）某些形容詞加名詞的組合可以用來談論一個事物。
